Explorers Play Village was founded by Natalie and Heather, whose professional partnership is built on a shared commitment to purposeful play, creativity and high-quality early education.

Their collaboration began in 2018 and quickly evolved into a highly successful job-share in EYFS and later Year 1, where they championed play-based learning, continuous provision and rich, engaging classroom environments. Their complementary strengths and shared vision enabled them to create learning spaces where children thrive with confidence, curiosity

and independence.

​

Between them, they have five children ranging from 18 months to 17 years of age, giving them first hand insight into childhood at every stage and a deep understanding of the experiences and perspectives of families today. With over 35 years of combined experience in education, they bring a unique blend of professional expertise and personal experience to everything they do.

At Explorers Play Village, role play is at the heart of learning. Children develop key skills including:

• Communication and language – expressing ideas, building vocabulary, storytelling
